Veteran singer/songwriter Chip Taylor (The Troggs’ Wild Thing, Juice Newton’s Angel of the Morning) first saw fiddler Carrie Rodriguez at 2001's SXSW and the musical connection was immediate. Taylor invited Rodriguez - who had never sung lead before - to step up to the mic and sing with him. The coupling of Taylor's rough-hewn vocals with Rodriguez' sweet, country-twanged voice sent the audience over the edge. Since then, the duo have lit a fire on concert stages across the country and recorded two critically-acclaimed albums. Tonight they celebrate the release of their latest collaboration, Red Dog Tracks. The album was recorded with the help of Bill Frisell, Kenny Wollesen and Richie Stearnes for a collection of down home songs about life and love that showcase their beautifully bittersweet Americana sound.
