Megan Williams' "Whip-Smart, Vastly Entertaining (artsjournal.com)" One Woman Show is a post post-modern dance theater follies expertly designed for the small stage. While channeling tragic and comedic heroines of golden-age Hollywood, Williams and her stellar cast jostle with questions about how we live with the ways we learned about sex, misogyny, beauty, aging, romance, and love. Featuring celebrated dance artists: Esmé Boyce, Robert Mark Burke, Derek Crescenti, Dylan Crossman, John Eirich, Kristen Foote, Chelsea Hecht, Courtney Lopes and Megan Williams. Costume design by Barbara Erin Delo and Sound design by Sam Crawford.
A DANCE NOW Commission, ONE WOMAN SHOW premiered in April 2018. DANCE NOW is supported, in part, with funds from the Jerome Robbins Foundation, Harkness Foundation for Dance, NYC Department of Cultural Affairs, Mertz Gilmore Foundation, The New York State Council on the Arts, a state agency.
