The Brooklyn Blowhards play Sea Shanties, Whaling Songs, and music of the free jazz saxophonist Albert Ayler in celebration of the release of their first recording on Little (i) Music.  The music embodies the soulful push and pull of the collective work song as well as the freedom of contemporary improvised music. Brooklyn Blowhards includes some of the leading players on the jazz/new music scene and will be joined by special guests vocalist Mary LaRose and guitarist Gary Lucas (Captain Beefhart/Jeff Buckley) for this special CD release performance.
