The Jacob Jolliff Band
You might call The Jacob Jolliff Band a bluegrass supergroup. Founded by Yonder Mountain String Band mandolinist Jacob Jolliff, the ensemble features some of the most virtuosic young pickers in the northeast. Before joining YMSB, the 2012 National Mandolin Championship winner logged three records, hundreds of shows, and thousands of miles with New England based roots music band, Joy Kills Sorrow. He formed his namesake progressive bluegrass band in the fall of 2015.

The group features Jacob's long-time partner-in-crime, Alex Hargreaves, on fiddle. Considered one of best improvising violinists in the world, Hargreaves is the winner of The Grand Masters Fiddle Championship and The National Oldtime Fiddlers' Contest. He is also a member of the Turtle Island String Quartet. On guitar is innovator Stash Wyslouch, a founder of The Deadly Gentleman and current member of The Stash! Band and Molsky's Mountain Drifters. Bassist Jeff Picker was a staple of the Portland jazz scene before relocating to NYC. He now currently tours with bluegrass phenom Sarah Jarosz. Jacob Jolliff continues to tour with YMSB, assembling his band when the members' relentless schedules permit, for rare, not to be missed performances.

The Brother Brothers
Based out of Brooklyn NY, twin brothers Adam and David Moss are a musical duo unlike most others. Their sound is undeniably striking and captivating. Often leaning towards the darker, moody aspects of Appalachian folk, klezmer, and bluegrass, their songs are laden with near perfect sibling harmonies, compelling writing, and imaginative arrangements; accompanied by guitar, cello, violin, and banjo. Already established players and composers in a wide spectrum of genres throughout the NY musical circuit, they are finally teaming up to bring their individual experiences together.

“While they’re technically a new band, The Brother Brothers have been in this together for life, and their familial connection comes through in the music, harkening back to some of the greatest family harmonies ever made. They approach their poignant and often charming songs with an almost startling sense of ease, and the tight harmonies are enough to send shivers down anyone’s spine. Their ability to pull the listener into their quietly energetic musical journey is a joy to behold. I can’t wait to be out on the road with Adam & David and hear their heart wrenching songs and spot on harmonies night after night!”  -Sarah Jarosz
