Death, commitment, sock puppets -- everyone's afraid of something. Laugh at your fears as host Mara Wilson takes you through comedian and performers' anxieties (and a few of her own).
A show all about fears, anxieties, phobias, dealing with them, getting through them, and laughing at them. Each installment of WAYAO features three storytellers - this August night will include Kambri Crews, Bastard Keith and Mara herself telling tales.
Kambri Crews is a writer and storyteller who has appeared on The Moth Mainstage, Mortified and Risk! She is the author of the critically acclaimed memoir Burn Down the Ground: A Memoir about her life as a child of deaf parents and her relationship with her incarcerated father.
Bastard Keith is a burlesque emcee, writer and actor. He lives in Brooklyn with Rosebud and their Pekingese.
Mara Wilson is a recovering former child actor who writes plays, fiction, and nonfiction. Her writing has been featured on Cracked.com, Jezebel, Theatermania.com, Yahoo News, ThatGuyWithTheGlasses.com, BUST Magazine, The Huffington Post, and on her own website, MaraWilsonWritesStuff.com. She has told stories for ASSSSCAT 3000, RISK!, Showgasm, The Story Collider, The Jukebox Show, Tell It: Brooklyn, Funny Story, My High School Boyfriend Was Gay, The Storytime Hour, The Next Chapter, Political Subversities, and many others. She is currently working on a novel and trying to stop telling everyone that she's working on a novel. (It makes her nervous.)
