Feminist Press Ball

January 31

Joe's Pub

Doors at 6PM
Show at 6:30PM

The F Word is FEMINISM! Let’s hear it from the painted mouth of Fauxnique, the lady drag queen and dancing, singing raconteuse. A frank fabulist whose Fosse-lized focus and forceful frame forge fanciful factual fictions, Fauxnique’s fashionably fierce form of feminism is filled with fucking fantastic feats of hi-femme frippery.  See why she broke through the glass ceiling of the male-dominated world of drag to become a queen among queens.

Now in its fourth year, The Feminist Ball was founded in 2014 to celebrate the New York city feminist community.

Founded in 1970, The Feminist Press promotes voices on the margins of dominant culture and publishes feminist works from around the world. We believe that books have the power to shift culture, and create a society free of violence, sexism, homophobia, racism, cis-supremacy, classism, sizeism, ableism and other forms of dehumanization. Our books and programs engage, educate, and entertain.
