Health & Safety Policy Update

We are excited to welcome you back to The Delacorte Theater for our 60th Anniversary Season of Free Shakespeare in the Park. We ask that you read and understand the following when accessing tickets.

  • Effective April 19, 2022, The Public requires proof of a complete COVID-19 vaccination to enter The Delacorte and attend performances. This policy will continue until further notice.
  • Complete vaccination is fourteen days following a final dose of the Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Moderna, or Astra-Zeneca vaccine.
  • We will accept proof of vaccination via Excelsior Pass, the NYC Covid Safe Pass, a copy or photo of your CDC vaccination card, and/or a copy or photo of an official immunization record from outside the United States.
  • Face masks are encouraged, but not required while attending performances at The Delacorte.
  • Public Theater staff and artists are subject to a mandatory vaccination and booster policy.
  • All policies are subject to change at The Public’s sole discretion and without notice.
  • Those that do not abide by any health and safety protocols will be denied entry or removed from the facility.

  • All performances in Joe’s Pub do not require a face mask because food and drink are available throughout the show. A face mask is strongly encourage when not actively eating or drinking.

Jeff Franzel began his career accompanying Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., and Mel Tormé when he was a member of Les Brown's big band. He recently performed at Café Carlyle and has been touring with Anthony Nunziata. Jeff and Dennis van Aarssen, winner of Holland's The Voice, are recording a piano/vocal album of original songs to be released early next year.

Jeff's first big hit was Taylor Dayne's “Don't Rush Me” and has had over 20 top ten International singles including two songs for 'NSYNC, Josh Groban, two songs for Shawn Colvin, The Temptations, and Clay Aiken.

Jeff is excited to be performing at Joe's Pub for the sixth year in a row and will be featuring improvs, original songs and pop and jazz classics.
