RICHARD JULIAN is a Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter whose emotive storytelling and candid smoky voice carve a path through folk, jazz, Americana, and soul. Julian’s deeply personal, often wry, songs have been praised by distinguished artists like Randy Newman and Bonnie Raitt. He is also known for his collaborations with Norah Jones — and for founding and curating the popular taste making Brooklyn music venue Bar LunÁtico.
For his Joe's Pub performance he presents a nine piece group featuring a triple brass frontline and the vocal stylings of The Gentle Reminders (Vanisha Gould, Katie Martucci, Sami Stevens)
Julian has performed venues and festivals throughout North America, Europe and Japan - including the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Newport Folk Festival, Late Night with David Letterman, Monterrey Jazz, and Udo Music Festival, among others.
