Taylor Mac and Matt Ray, and the company The Hang, are having an album release party/show. Selections from their jazz opera, about the final hours of the life of Socrates, will be performed by the original company.
The Hang, premiered in 2022, at the Here Arts Center, won 2 Obies (Matt Ray’s compositions and Machine Dazzles costumes) and was nominated for Best Musical of the year by both the Drama Desk and Drama League Awards.
