Toby Lightman’s soulful and authentic voice has captivated audiences since her debut album Little Things landed on the Billboard Top 100, earning comparisons to Lauryn Hill, Sheryl Crow, and Norah Jones. A classically trained violinist turned self-taught guitarist, she’s graced stages with icons like Rob Thomas, Jewel, Train, and even Prince. With over 100 song placements in TV, film, and ads, and contributions to PBS and Sesame Street, Lightman has established herself as a versatile and independent artist. Her self-produced 2022 album After All delves into personal themes of pregnancy, loss, and motherhood, reflecting her mission to empower women in music production. She continues to champion female creatives through initiatives like She Is The Music and was recently elected Governor of the Recording Academy’s New York Chapter. Lightman is currently producing her next studio album, slated for release in 2025. Her latest single, “Higher,” was recently recorded by American Idol finalist Breanna Nix and reached #1 on the iTunes Country Chart, iTunes Top Songs Chart, and Billboard Christian Digital Song Sales, as well as #4 on Billboard's All-Genre Digital Song Sales chart.
