Ute Lemper celebrates the composer’s 125th birthday. For 40 years now she sings the music of Kurt Weill and she takes us back to her beginnings in the divided, Cold War Berlin 1985 when she flew with her wings of desire over the heavens of Berlin wondering about the crude reality. Now in the year 2025 welcome again to Weimar! Welcome to chaos, democracies in peril, hot wars and cold wars and the challenging journey of an extraordinary composer from Berlin to Hollywood.
