Influenced by their lived experiences, revolutionary politics, and love for their Black, queer, and trans communities, "Playlist for the Liberated Soul: The Music of Artemis Montague" will highlight Montague’s Black-queer, and trans-led musicals, SHE SINGS ME HOME, HOW BABY AND ANCESTORS STARTED A REVOLUTION, and RHAPSODY IN SUNFLOWER YELLOW. The concert will also showcase some of their music as an independent artist and have you contemplating community, love, mental health, friendship, politics, and how Black people started Musical Theatre as we know it today.

White (she/her), Larry Darnell Penn (he/him), and Zuri Washington (she/her) as well as the band consisting of Kendall Perry (they/them) and Caylen Bryant (she/her), the night will be music directed by Jenna Cox-Hadley (she/her) and produced by Rissa Lavilla (she/they).
