Travel to a Dreamlike Realm of Memory and Music with Carla Patullo and the Scorchio Quartet, during their intimate reunion performance. The evening will feature music from their consecutive GRAMMY-winning albums SO SHE HOWLS and NOMADICA.
Carla Patullo is a composer and performing artist who calls her sensibility ‘genre fluid’. Her music connects with the emotions found in grief, healing, redemption, and joy. She is best known for an aesthetic that includes intricate orchestral passages, lush acoustics, beds of dreamy vocals, and adventurous electronics.
The Scorchio Quartet is hailed as a cutting-edge electro-acoustic ensemble known for its artistry and eclecticism. Founded by violist Martha Mooke at the behest of David Bowie and featured on Bowie’s 2002 album, Heathen, Scorchio has also performed with Philip Glass, Patti Smith, Lou Reed, Laurie Anderson, Phoebe Bridgers, Trey Anastasio, Iggy Pop, and many others. The quartet also includes Lorenza Ponce, Leah Coloff, and Frederika Krier.
