This seven-piece ensemble — founded by Jasper Shogo Dutz — has built a devoted following by transforming beloved these beloved soundtrack gems into a new sonic experience. From the sweeping melodies of Ghibli's most iconic films to the shimmering grooves of 80s City Pop and the dramatic themes of anime's greatest series, Catbus Collective performs it all. Having graced stages at Anime Expo, Kogaracon, Setsucon, AAPI Jazz Fest, and beyond since their 2023 debut, the band arrives at Joe's Pub ready to deliver a night that's equal parts concert, cultural celebration, and joyful deep-dive into the sounds that shaped a generation.
