Pecados de Picasso, produced and recorded by renowned Cuban bassist, composer, and multi-instrumentalist Alain Pérez, an Afro-Cuban big band leader, marks a powerful new chapter in CuCu Diamantes’ artistic evolution.

The album draws deeply from the emotional intensity of bolero, the rhythmic architecture of son montuno, and the vitality of Cuban popular music, while maintaining her unmistakable theatrical language.

Tracks such as “Muerto Malo” embody this tension between tradition and reinvention—where classic forms are reshaped through narrative, sensuality, and bold artistic risk. The result is a work that is both rooted and urgent, honoring Cuban musical heritage while expanding its contemporary relevance.

With Pecados de Picasso, Diamantes continues to redefine Cuban popular music through a contemporary, theatrical, and uncompromising lens. This performance promises to be not only a concert, but a fully realized artistic statement—one that resonates both culturally and emotionally.

CuCu Diamantes is a Grammy-nominated Cuban-American singer, songwriter, and actress. A co-founder of the collective Yerba Buena, her work weaves Afro-Cuban roots with a contemporary, theatrical sensibility. Her debut album Cuculand was nominated for a Latin Grammy. With a magnetic and elegant stage presence, CuCu Diamantes invites audiences on a journey between Havana and New York—a celebration of identity, emotion, and rhythm.
