Grammy nominated composer (East Village Opera Company – “highbrow and brilliant” – NY Magazine), Peter Kiesewalter, invites you to an evening of music featuring an all-star lineup of musicians and singers performing selections from his current touring production The MOTH PROJECT.

Created in 2022 with his partner, violinist Whitney La Grange, The MOTH PROJECT’s unique intersection of science and art has garnered acclaim for its striking multi-channel video projections and collaborations with leading entomologists, wildlife photographers, and bestselling author (“Braiding Sweetgrass”) and Indigenous wisdom keeper Robin Wall Kimmerer. Initially introduced to NYC through his genre-defying arrangements of Handel’s Messiah at the Bottom Line’s annual “Downtown Messiah” productions, he is no stranger to the Public Theater and Joe’s Pub where much of his past work debuted or was commissioned – from their 50th Anniversary production of “Troilus and Cressida” (with EVOC) to the song for song adaptation of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “The Sound of Music” (Brooklyn Rundfunk Orkestrata’s “The Hills Are Alive”).
