The Pretty Babies, NYC’s own fabulous and fairly glamorous Blondie Tribute Band, returns to Joe’s Pub after a triumphant tour of the 48 contiguous states of mind in order to present “BLONDIE: THE RAPTURE” to the discerning Joe’s Pub patron saint.

“BLONDIE: THE RAPTURE” is a glorious 1970s swirling disco-ball Blondie tribute concert performed in a Studio-quaalude-Halston-disco-sequined haze commingled with the black leather coke-speed frenzy and poetic punk spikes of the CB’s-era Bowery, creating an atmosphere of pure delirium and release into the arms of a dizzying, dazzling, non-denominational Rapture.
Feel free to dance, shriek, resist, and succumb to the exquisite pop-perfection and sweet ecstatic anarchy of those beloved Blondie songs, played and sung in a lateral universe in which joy never ceases to spin itself into a halcyon shimmer, where the lights are always dreaming. We can reclaim The Rapture. Just for one day.
