Cameron Esposito: Separately
A penchant for risky, personal choice of topics (her most recent standup special, “RAPE JOKES,” centered on sexual assault raised & almost $100k for RAINN) has always made Cameron Esposito a bit of a pioneer. Still, she never saw herself joining the first generation of gay divorceés. Fuck.
“Separately” is about gut-kicking loss, sticky rebuilding, & dying your hair unpredictable colors to try to stop your bleeding heart and comes to Joe’s Pub after sold out runs in Los Angeles and London, and a Just for Laughs Montréal residency, where the show garnered reviews like: “This version of Cameron Esposito is a hot mess. And it’s okay. Watching her being a hot mess in the middle of a period of personal trauma — and also being okay with it — is both inspiring and edifying...you should really go see it.” (Cult MTL)
