Health & Safety Policy Update

We are excited to welcome you back to The Delacorte Theater for our 60th Anniversary Season of Free Shakespeare in the Park. We ask that you read and understand the following when accessing tickets.

  • Effective April 19, 2022, The Public requires proof of a complete COVID-19 vaccination to enter The Delacorte and attend performances. This policy will continue until further notice.
  • Complete vaccination is fourteen days following a final dose of the Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Moderna, or Astra-Zeneca vaccine.
  • We will accept proof of vaccination via Excelsior Pass, the NYC Covid Safe Pass, a copy or photo of your CDC vaccination card, and/or a copy or photo of an official immunization record from outside the United States.
  • Face masks are encouraged, but not required while attending performances at The Delacorte.
  • Public Theater staff and artists are subject to a mandatory vaccination and booster policy.
  • All policies are subject to change at The Public’s sole discretion and without notice.
  • Those that do not abide by any health and safety protocols will be denied entry or removed from the facility.

SHOW HO HO HO BIZ !!! NYC’s beloved comedian and larger-than-life personality Murray Hill (aka Mr. Showbiz) is back live, and still alive! Murray gives the much-needed gift of holiday cheer and showbiz denial to Joe’s Pub with his legendary Yuletide holiday show: A Murray Little Christmas. If there is anyone to get us in the holiday spirit and forget about the world’s collapse, it's Murray and his fun-loving pals. Special guests include: Bridget Everett, Angie Pontani, Inyang Bassey, Ike Ufomadu, The Nutcrackers Band, and more. Have Yourself A Murray Little Christmas!

MURRAY HILL is Mr. Showbiz. He's an NYC legend, comedian, host, and international entertainer.  In 2021, he’ll be a recurring character in two new television series: Amy Schumer’s Life & Beth (Hulu), Bridget Everett’s Somebody Somewhere (HBO) and will be featured in Paul Feig’s Welcome To Flatch (FOX). He was just listed as one of “Brooklyn’s 50 Most Fascinating People” by Brooklyn Magazine.

IKE UFOMADU

Ikechukwu Ufomadu is an actor, comedian and entertainer, named 1 of 5 “Comics to Watch in 2018” by Time Out New York, and recipient of a 2019 Drama Desk award for his work in Clare Barron’s Dance Nation. Ike played a featured supporting role in Warner Bros. Academy Award nominated Judas and the Black Messiah, opposite Daniel Kaluuya and LaKeith Stanfield, and will next be seen in HBO’s critically acclaimed comedy series "Los Espookys."
