Cumbe Dance salutes Afro’Dance bringing together the brightest movers and innovators of the scene and genre. A global movement that took over the world in the early 2010’s heavily pushed by the music genre Afrobeat. Originally from Ghana and made famous by the Nigerian legendary Fela Kuti.

A new generation of African music, social and Street Dances from the motherland and her diaspora. The show marks the beginning of 10 years of Joy celebrating Cumbe’s anniversary since its founding in 2012. Afro’Dance Emerges is a show, classes, and performance workshops with award winning dancers and choreographers from around the Afro’Dance Diaspora.

Get ready to be moved and move like never before in an evening that shines light on Afro’Dance styles like AfroHouse, Ndombolo, Coupé Décalé, Azonto, Naija Style and more.
