Health & Safety Policy Update

We are excited to welcome you back to The Delacorte Theater for our 60th Anniversary Season of Free Shakespeare in the Park. We ask that you read and understand the following when accessing tickets.

  • Effective April 19, 2022, The Public requires proof of a complete COVID-19 vaccination to enter The Delacorte and attend performances. This policy will continue until further notice.
  • Complete vaccination is fourteen days following a final dose of the Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Moderna, or Astra-Zeneca vaccine.
  • We will accept proof of vaccination via Excelsior Pass, the NYC Covid Safe Pass, a copy or photo of your CDC vaccination card, and/or a copy or photo of an official immunization record from outside the United States.
  • Face masks are encouraged, but not required while attending performances at The Delacorte.
  • Public Theater staff and artists are subject to a mandatory vaccination and booster policy.
  • All policies are subject to change at The Public’s sole discretion and without notice.
  • Those that do not abide by any health and safety protocols will be denied entry or removed from the facility.

From the dark and twisted mind of Mexican composer and New York Innovative Award nominee Christian De Gré Cárdenas comes the second volume of his macabre eclectic journey through fifteen years of collaboration with Mind The Art Entertainment. Featuring selections from the hilarious song cycle, A Drink with Death, the apocalypse trilogy Acedia, and their critically acclaimed seven deadly sins operettas: Fatty Fatty No Friends; Whiskey Pants: The Mayor of Williamsburg; Jack of Hearts: Master of None; The Vice of Berthe; Dux Vox Populi; The Gimmies; and Moonshine in b minor.

Hailed as “Burton-esque, funny and heartbreaking, dark and lighthearted, old school and yet completely modern,” join De Gré Cárdenas along with a mix of Broadway veterans and Mind The Art all-stars as they return to Joe's Pub for a curiously musical celebration of what is most delicious about our very own worst selves.
