Health & Safety Policy Update

We are excited to welcome you back to The Delacorte Theater for our 60th Anniversary Season of Free Shakespeare in the Park. We ask that you read and understand the following when accessing tickets.

  • Effective April 19, 2022, The Public requires proof of a complete COVID-19 vaccination to enter The Delacorte and attend performances. This policy will continue until further notice.
  • Complete vaccination is fourteen days following a final dose of the Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Moderna, or Astra-Zeneca vaccine.
  • We will accept proof of vaccination via Excelsior Pass, the NYC Covid Safe Pass, a copy or photo of your CDC vaccination card, and/or a copy or photo of an official immunization record from outside the United States.
  • Face masks are encouraged, but not required while attending performances at The Delacorte.
  • Public Theater staff and artists are subject to a mandatory vaccination and booster policy.
  • All policies are subject to change at The Public’s sole discretion and without notice.
  • Those that do not abide by any health and safety protocols will be denied entry or removed from the facility.

The 10th annual Night Of A Thousand Judys – the Pride concert to benefit The Ali Forney Center written and hosted by Justin Elizabeth Sayre – will take place at Joe’s Pub on Sunday, June 5. Called “a rambunctious, uproarious, unpredictable all-star concert” by The Wall Street Journal, “Night Of A Thousand Judys” will honor the iconic Judy Garland with special skits, tributes and songs from her legendary career as movie star, recording artist and stage performer. The event helps commemorate Judy’s 100th Birthday and the 20th Anniversary of The Ali Forney Center.

The event will feature performances by Tony winner Frances Ruffelle (Les Misérables, Starlight Express), Grammy winner Nathan Lee Graham (Zoolander, Priscilla), Grammy winner and Tony nominee Kathryn Gallagher (Jagged Little Pill, Spring Awakening), Tony nominee Sally Mayes (She Loves Me), Lortel winner Bonnie Milligan (Kimberly Akimbo, Head Over Heels), Shereen Pimentel (Broadway’s West Side Story), singer/songwriter Eleri Ward (Josh Groban Harmony Tour, Joe’s Pub), Tracie Bennett (Hangmen, End of the Rainbow), Laiona Michelle (Little Girl Blue, Amazing Grace), and Bistro winner Amy Jo Jackson (Joe’s Pub), with more to be announced.

The evening is written and hosted by Justin Elizabeth Sayre, directed by Peter James Cook, and choreographed by Jason Wise, featuring Tracy Stark as the event’s music director. “Night Of A Thousand Judys” is produced by Dan Fortune and Adam J. Rosen, with Dan Fortune serving as executive producer.

The Ali Forney Center is the nation’s largest agency dedicated to helping LGBTQ homeless youth. Called “a rambunctious, uproarious, unpredictable all-star concert” by The Wall Street Journal, “Night Of A Thousand Judys” will honor the iconic Judy Garland with special skits, tributes, and songs from her legendary career as movie star, recording artist, and stage performer. The event helps commemorate Judy’s 100th Birthday and the 20th Anniversary of The Ali Forney Center.

The performance is at 7:00 PM, with a VIP post-show reception to follow.
