BélO has been hailed as Haiti’s musical ambassador to the world. A socially conscious singer-songwriter with a sophisticated sound and winner of numerous awards, including the prestigious "Prix Radio France International Discoveries of 2006," BelO’s sound is a sublime mixture of Jazz, Worldbeat, Rock, Reggae and Afro- Haitian traditional rhythms known as “Ragganga”.

Fanm Lakou Trankil is a cover album of “Lakou trankil” by Haitian artist BélO, produced in 2005 by Fabrice Rouzier and Keke Bélizaire for the Solèy Sounds label. Lakou Trankil won the prestigious award "Prix Radio France International Discoveries of 2006”. It is re-interpreted by ten incredible female voices. This album is a moving tribute to Haitian culture, presented in a new light with a unique female perspective. The sublime musical arrangements as well as the powerful and moving voices of these talented artists merge to create a captivating musical experience.
