Health & Safety Policy Update

We are excited to welcome you back to The Delacorte Theater for our 60th Anniversary Season of Free Shakespeare in the Park. We ask that you read and understand the following when accessing tickets.

  • Effective April 19, 2022, The Public requires proof of a complete COVID-19 vaccination to enter The Delacorte and attend performances. This policy will continue until further notice.
  • Complete vaccination is fourteen days following a final dose of the Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Moderna, or Astra-Zeneca vaccine.
  • We will accept proof of vaccination via Excelsior Pass, the NYC Covid Safe Pass, a copy or photo of your CDC vaccination card, and/or a copy or photo of an official immunization record from outside the United States.
  • Face masks are encouraged, but not required while attending performances at The Delacorte.
  • Public Theater staff and artists are subject to a mandatory vaccination and booster policy.
  • All policies are subject to change at The Public’s sole discretion and without notice.
  • Those that do not abide by any health and safety protocols will be denied entry or removed from the facility.

  • All performances in Joe’s Pub do not require a face mask because food and drink are available throughout the show. A face mask is strongly encourage when not actively eating or drinking.

Myself and I always said that if we didn't find someone by the time we turn 30, we'd end up together. Well, at the time I'm writing this, the big three-oh is less than a month away, and there's not a fiancé in sight, so I'm saying yes! You are cordially invited to Joe's Pub on July 26th to celebrate the marriage of Daphne Always to herself!

I think I might already be having cold feet, though. Is marrying myself an insane thing to do? Can I really promise to love myself as I would a partner, 'til death do me part, or will I leave myself at the altar, a runaway bride? Is this gay?

With wedding band led by my ever-reliable maestro, James Sheppard, I'll be walking down the Joe's Pub aisle to make a sacred commitment to have and to hold my Self, in sickness and in questionable mental health. Your presence is lovingly requested, as I, in the eyes of family, loved ones, and community, say I do--I think...
