Andy Akiho Trio
Andy Akiho is a GRAMMY® nominated and Pulitzer Prize finalist composer whose bold works unravel intricate and unexpected patterns while surpassing preconceived boundaries of classical music. He is an in-demand composer who has earned international acclaim for his large-scale works that emphasize the natural theatricality of live performance. Recent engagements include commissioned premieres by the New York Philharmonic, National Symphony Orchestra, Shanghai Symphony, Oregon Symphony Orchestra and LA Dance Project among others. For the 24/25 season, Andy will tour his original music with the Andy Akiho Trio - an adventurous ensemble that breaks stylistic barriers, featuring bassist Linda May Han Oh and drummer Kenneth Salters.
