Health & Safety Policy Update

We are excited to welcome you back to The Delacorte Theater for our 60th Anniversary Season of Free Shakespeare in the Park. We ask that you read and understand the following when accessing tickets.

  • Effective April 19, 2022, The Public requires proof of a complete COVID-19 vaccination to enter The Delacorte and attend performances. This policy will continue until further notice.
  • Complete vaccination is fourteen days following a final dose of the Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Moderna, or Astra-Zeneca vaccine.
  • We will accept proof of vaccination via Excelsior Pass, the NYC Covid Safe Pass, a copy or photo of your CDC vaccination card, and/or a copy or photo of an official immunization record from outside the United States.
  • Face masks are encouraged, but not required while attending performances at The Delacorte.
  • Public Theater staff and artists are subject to a mandatory vaccination and booster policy.
  • All policies are subject to change at The Public’s sole discretion and without notice.
  • Those that do not abide by any health and safety protocols will be denied entry or removed from the facility.

  • All performances in Joe’s Pub do not require a face mask because food and drink are available throughout the show. A face mask is strongly encourage when not actively eating or drinking.

International tenor Miles Mykkanen steps away from the opera stage for his debut at Joe's Pub with music director Adam Rothenberg (Broadway's Sweeney Todd, Company). The versatile duo will jump between cabaret classics, operatic arias, and musical theater showstoppers while sharing stories from on and off the world's stages.Miles Mykkanen won The Metropolitan Opera's prestigious National Council Auditions in 2019 and has since appeared at the opera house in Boris Godunov, Ariadne auf Naxos, Wozzeck and Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg. One of his signature roles, Candide has been performed at the Tanglewood Festival, Ravinia Festival, Opéra de Lausanne and beyond. The tenor's 23/24 season includes debuts at the Royal Opera House: Covent Garden and San Francisco Opera, and concert appearances with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Oregon Symphony, and Music of the Baroque.
