Emma Jayne is a singer-songwriter, class clown, and did a really good job at their bat-mitzvah. They're also a composer, a keyboardist in a children's band, a teaching artist for queer youth artists, a diabetic summer camp song leader, a holiday song crooner, and sometimes comedian. Emma Jayne is a lot of things...and you'll get to meet all of them in what is sure to be a memorable evening of original music, storytelling, and comedy.
Emma Jayne (they/she) is an Emmy-nominated composer, singer-songwriter, and comedian based in Brooklyn, NY. With 3M+ streams across 15 releases, Emma's music has garnered placements on Spotify editorial playlists like Fresh Finds Pop. Notable achievements include composing for Hallmark and Coca-Cola, and winning Jimmy Fallon's 'Battle of the Instant Songwriters' on The Tonight Show. She has collaborated with and opened for bands like Lawrence, Leah Marlene, Couch, Erez Zobary, and Sense.
For lovers of Carole King, Sara Bareilles, and laughing until you cry, Emma’s music has an Adult Contemporary sensibility with Pop-Soul listenability. Their artistry is about connection, possibility, and authenticity. Emma is dedicated to modeling honest, committed, and unapologetically queer songwriting for the next generation.
A Boston University graduate (College of Fine Arts, Communications) Emma now empowers LGBTQIA+ youth as the co-founder of Future Perfect Records, a residency for queer youth musicians through the non-profit The Future Perfect Project. Currently, Emma is working on her second album, fueled in part by the Music Forward Foundation's LGBTQ+ Emerging Artist Award.
