Singer and writer Joseph Keckler shares a concert evening, including previews of new material he is developing for a new show to be presented at The Metropolitan Museum of Art later, which weaves together a spiritual quest and tales of a wild and unforgettable friend.
Malena Cadiz is a lady of the canyon waylaid at a suburban strip mall, acutely aware of how romance shines through even in the moments of grit and desolation. Her work has been praised by The Fader, PASTE, Vogue.com, Stereogum and Consequence of Sound and her new record, Hellbent & Moonbound is out now.
Matthew Dean Marsh has traveled the world as composer, musician, writer and vocalist, and is based in NYC. His collaboration with David Cale, We’re Only Alive for A Short Amount of Time, made its debut at The Goodman and Public Theaters, Marsh composed the score for David Cale’s Sandra (Vineyard Theater). He also worked as an associate musical director on Broadway’s Beetlejuice while it was in development. Songs from his new folk-opera, co-created with Kate Douglas and Raina Sokolov-Gonzalez, will be presented at Joe's Pub January 27th.
