Fred Ebb Award winner Julia Riew returns to Joe's Pub with a concert performance of ENDLESS, a new mythological musical featuring a cinematic pop score about a young star named Sun who defies the laws of the sky for love. Commissioned by The Library Company and set to premiere in Seoul, Korea, ENDLESS explores fate, mortality, and the joy of embracing the fleeting moments that make life meaningful.
The night will feature a selection of songs from the musical with music direction by Ian Chan (SMASH, CATS: The Jellicle Ball) and orchestrations by Scott Wasserman (Redwood, Hamilton).

Julia Riew is an award-winning composer-lyricist, playwright, and novelist from St. Louis and NYC. She is best known for her musical DIVE, a reimagining of the Korean folktale Shimcheong, which has captivated millions online and is currently being developed for the stage at the American Repertory Theater with Tony-Award winning director Diane Paulus and GLAAD-Award winning playwright Diana Son. Julia’s literary work includes upcoming YA fantasy novel The Last Tiger (Penguin Random House, 2025) and MG fantasy novel Shim Jung Takes the Dive (HarperCollins, 2026). In addition to being the 18th Annual Fred Ebb Award winner, Julia has been Playbill’s Featured Songwriter of the Month, a Woman to Watch on Broadway, and a Princess Grace Award Honoraria recipient. Her work has been performed at the American Repertory Theater, South Coast Repertory, Joe’s Pub at The Public Theater, 54 Below, Greenroom 42, and many more. Julia is a graduate of the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop and received her B.A. in Theater and Music from Harvard University in 2022.
