On Gil Scott-Heron's birthday we celebrate jazz and poetry in style. With fun!!
Gil Scott is a godfather to jazz, funk, soul and hip-hop. Rather than do a mimicking tribute Tai Allen presents a show that examines his work and tunes by similar icons, like Oscar Brown, Bob Dillon, Nina Simone, Mos Def and other singers who were inspired by poetics.
