J. Hoard: Big Creature Album Preview

J. Hoard: Big Creature Album Preview

February 9, 2022
    1. J. Hoard is a Brooklyn-based artist. In one performance you are given the core of the Black church and the allure of “The Great White Way” (Broadway). His original compositions and arrangements easily shift genres to articulate his vivid songwriting. In 2016 J. Hoard contributed lyrics and vocals to the Grammy winning album "Coloring Book" and single "No Problem". In 2018 J. Hoard provided lyrics and vocal arrangement on the album "Subconsciously" by Black Coffee, a Grammy nominee for 2022 Best Dance/Electronic Album. His first full length album, “Big Creature”, produced by Zach McMillan* perfectly weaves J. Hoard’s roots, influences from his array of musical collaborations, and rock-heavy attitude. It’s Aretha, meets Elton John, dancing with Janell Monet at The Box, full on.

Zach McMillan produced the documentary “Invisible Valley” which premiered at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival & is the music supervisor for the critically acclaimed documentary “The Art of Making It”. J. Hoard is a credited vocalist on both films and co-writer on the latter.
