Since 1998, Joe's Pub has been a home for artists at all levels of development—from early-career artists in the Joe's Pub Working Group to international superstars like Alicia Keys and Adele. Join us to celebrate our beloved Joe's Pub on Monday, March 6 and enjoy performances from the next generation of Joe’s Pub artists throughout the evening.
On Tuesday, December 6, 2022, we attended a special performance of TOPDOG | UNDERDOG, including a post-show talkback featuring playwright Suzan-Lori Parks and Director Kenny Leon, moderated by The Public's Associate Artistic Director and Director of Public Theater Productions, Mandy Hackett.
On Tuesday, November 29, 2022 we got back on the plane with the cast of AIN'T NO MO' on Broadway! AIN’T NO MO’ dares to ask the incendiary question, “What if the U.S. government offered Black Americans one-way plane tickets to Africa?” The answer is the high-octane new comedy from the mischievous mind of playwright Jordan E. Cooper.

On October 20, 2020 at 8:00PM ET, we gathered virtually for FORWARD. TOGETHER. The evening featured performances and special appearances by some of your favorite Public Theater artists, including a Spanish-language performance of "What I Did For Love" from A CHORUS LINE by Antonio Banderas and Laura Benanti, and a rendition of "To Be Human" from Public Works' HERCULES by Jelani Alladin.
On February 3, 2020, we celebrated the third annual Joe's Pub Vanguard Gala, honoring Laurie Anderson with the Vanguard Award & Residency.
On Monday, October 28, 2019, we enjoyed the original hip-hop musical phenomenon as it came Broadway from Thomas Kail (Hamilton, Dry Powder, Tiny Beautiful Things), Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Anthony Veneziale.
Each night there were special and spontaneous guest appearances from Lin-Manuel Miranda, Daveed Diggs, Chris Jackson, James Monroe Iglehart, and more.
On Wednesday, October 23, 2019, we experienced Baz Luhrmann’s revolutionary film come to life onstage. Directed by Alex Timbers (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, Here Lies Love) and choreographed by Sonya Tayeh (Public Works: As You Like It), it was an evening to remember!
On Thursday, September 19, 2019, we gathered to see SEA WALL / A LIFE on Broadway after the sold-out run at The Public Theater. After the performance, there was a post-show talkback with Jake Gyllenhaal and Tom Sturridge!
