While Joe's Pub is temporarily closed to public access, join us for Joe's Pub Live! – a free series of live-streamed and archived performances from our iconic stage in New York City. Facilitating social connectivity during this time of physical distancing, Joe's Pub remains dedicated to supporting performing artists at every stage of their careers through sharing concerts with our audiences each Thursday, Friday & Saturday night at 8PM Eastern.
Closures and cancellations because of COVID-19 have majorly disrupted access to revenue for artists all over the world. If you are enjoying this performance and are able to support, Max would like to encourage you to consider donating to The Broadway Cares COVID-19 Emergency Assistance Fund HERE.
Described by the New Yorker as "equal parts Bohemia and Broadway," Max Vernon has emerged as a singular and eccentric voice in the world of musical theatre. They received the Lucille Lortel Award for Best Musical, 3 Drama-Desk Nominations, a Jonathan Larson Grant and the Richard Rodgers award for his musicals The View UpStairs and KPOP, both of which had critically-acclaimed extended Off-Broadway runs last year. Following a sold-out debut at the Kennedy Center in 2018, they returned to Joe's Pub for a three concert-stint of high spectacle, high fashion, and high belted F sharps. Featuring a cast of Broadway stars and Downtown divas, Existential Life Crisis Lullaby will be a celebration of tattooed ladies, Korean popstars, 70's queer culture, the apocalypse, sentient robots, aging club kids, homicidal hipster cults, and...love?*
*Warning: costume changes will occur
Like all Joe's Pub shows, all ages are welcome, but please be aware that performances may include adult language and topics.
Recorded live at Joe's Pub on April 23, 2019
