Health & Safety Policy Update

We are excited to welcome you back to The Delacorte Theater for our 60th Anniversary Season of Free Shakespeare in the Park. We ask that you read and understand the following when accessing tickets.

  • Effective April 19, 2022, The Public requires proof of a complete COVID-19 vaccination to enter The Delacorte and attend performances. This policy will continue until further notice.
  • Complete vaccination is fourteen days following a final dose of the Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Moderna, or Astra-Zeneca vaccine.
  • We will accept proof of vaccination via Excelsior Pass, the NYC Covid Safe Pass, a copy or photo of your CDC vaccination card, and/or a copy or photo of an official immunization record from outside the United States.
  • Face masks are encouraged, but not required while attending performances at The Delacorte.
  • Public Theater staff and artists are subject to a mandatory vaccination and booster policy.
  • All policies are subject to change at The Public’s sole discretion and without notice.
  • Those that do not abide by any health and safety protocols will be denied entry or removed from the facility.

  • All performances in Joe’s Pub do not require a face mask because food and drink are available throughout the show. A face mask is strongly encourage when not actively eating or drinking.

Ana Villafañe is thrilled to make her solo debut at the iconic Joe's Pub.Currently playing Ava Gardner in Sinatra: The Musical in the UK (directed by Kathleen Marshall) and with her first feature film, Castro's Daughter (opposite James Franco) set to release in 2024, Ana is ready to surprise you.She burst onto the Broadway scene originating the role of Gloria Estefan in the hit musical On Your Feet directed by Jerry Mitchell (Theatre World Award, Drama League Award). Onscreen, she is best known as Dr. Valentina Castro on "New Amsterdam" (Netflix/NBC).Exploring her own intersections, this show is a love letter to being way more than what the world expects from you.
