We are excited to welcome you back to The Delacorte Theater for our 60th Anniversary Season of Free Shakespeare in the Park. We ask that you read and understand the following when accessing tickets.

  • Effective April 19, 2022, The Public requires proof of a complete COVID-19 vaccination to enter The Delacorte and attend performances. This policy will continue until further notice.
  • Complete vaccination is fourteen days following a final dose of the Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Moderna, or Astra-Zeneca vaccine.
  • We will accept proof of vaccination via Excelsior Pass, the NYC Covid Safe Pass, a copy or photo of your CDC vaccination card, and/or a copy or photo of an official immunization record from outside the United States.
  • Face masks are encouraged, but not required while attending performances at The Delacorte.
  • Public Theater staff and artists are subject to a mandatory vaccination and booster policy.
  • All policies are subject to change at The Public’s sole discretion and without notice.
  • Those that do not abide by any health and safety protocols will be denied entry or removed from the facility.

This fall, we will launch an 18-month renovation of The Delacorte Theater—the largest in its history—so that it can return a more accessible theater for all in 2025.

To kick off its Brief Intermission, we're celebrating our favorite theater in Central Park with a one-night-only benefit performance by FREESTYLE LOVE SUPREME featuring special guests Christopher Jackson aka "C-Jack" and creator Lin-Manuel Miranda aka "Lin-Man." The cast will include Utkarsh Ambudkar aka "UTK the INC," Andrew Bancroft aka "Jelly Donut," Richard Baskin aka "Rich Midway," Aneesa Folds aka "Young Nees," James Monroe Iglehart aka "J-Soul," Kaila Mullady aka "Kaiser Rözé," Bill Sherman aka "King Sherman," Chris Sullivan aka "Shockwave," and Anthony Veneziale aka "Two Touch."

ANDREW BANCROFT is a writer and performer in New York. He made his Broadway debut with Freestyle Love Supreme in 2019, returning to Broadway with the group in 2021, as well as joining the FLS national tour and Vegas residency. Bancroft is a leader at freestyle+ and a member of the band Moondrunk. As rapper Jelly Donut, he has been featured on MTV’s “TRL” and in Rolling Stone and Time. Bancroft writes musicals and is an award-winning ad writer/creative director. He loves whales. He is grateful to FLS, his family, and his friends for their love and support. IG: @mcjellyd.

RICHARD BASKIN JR. is a pianist, vocalist, songwriter, actor, and educator. Fresh off the Freestyle Love Supreme residency in Las Vegas, Baskin continues to perform in multiple groups and as a solo artist internationally in South America, Europe, and Canada. His credits include winning the Top Dog award in Amateur Night at the Apollo Theater and performing with Bobby McFerrin, George Benson, Ben Folds, and Kurt Elling.

ANTHONY VENEZIALE is conceiver and co-creator of Freestyle Love Supreme and a founding member of American Immigrants (San Francisco). He has used improv techniques to create endeavors for television (Cartoon Network, Sesame Workshop, Boardwalk Pictures), for theater (FLS, The Freeze, American Immigrants), and for business (TED, Google, Adobe, Salesforce and many more). He is a co-founder of freestyle+ (freestyleplus.com), an improv thinking company that helps humans create, collaborate, and connect. Stage: Freestyle Love Supreme, Servicemen. TV: “Sex and the City,” “Looking,” “Kid of the Year.” Special thanks to all my teachers including Caricia, Jett, and Oci—the loves of my life.

A Broadway veteran with nine shows to his credits, he originated the roles of Benny in In the Heights and George Washington in Hamilton. Other Broadway shows include After Midnight, Bronx Bombers, Memphis, The Lion King, and two runs with Freestyle Love Supreme. Off-Broadway credits include Bronx Bombers; The Jammer; Lonely, I’m Not; In the Heights; Cotton Club Parade; Working; Freestyle Love Supreme.
