Health & Safety Policy Update

We are excited to welcome you back to The Delacorte Theater for our 60th Anniversary Season of Free Shakespeare in the Park. We ask that you read and understand the following when accessing tickets.

  • Effective April 19, 2022, The Public requires proof of a complete COVID-19 vaccination to enter The Delacorte and attend performances. This policy will continue until further notice.
  • Complete vaccination is fourteen days following a final dose of the Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Moderna, or Astra-Zeneca vaccine.
  • We will accept proof of vaccination via Excelsior Pass, the NYC Covid Safe Pass, a copy or photo of your CDC vaccination card, and/or a copy or photo of an official immunization record from outside the United States.
  • Face masks are encouraged, but not required while attending performances at The Delacorte.
  • Public Theater staff and artists are subject to a mandatory vaccination and booster policy.
  • All policies are subject to change at The Public’s sole discretion and without notice.
  • Those that do not abide by any health and safety protocols will be denied entry or removed from the facility.

  • A face mask is required for all attendees while watching a performance on Tuesday evening, Saturday afternoon, & Sunday afternoon performances.
  • A face mask is not required but strongly encouraged when attending performances on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, & Sunday evenings.
  • All performances in Joe’s Pub do not require a face mask because food and drink are available throughout the show. A face mask is strongly encourage when not actively eating or drinking.

Welcome to our new website

Accessing Your Account

You can now access your Account by logging in at the top right corner of the screen. You can also use this portal to trigger a password reset, or if you are new to The Public Theater, you can take this opportunity to create an account. Once you have logged in, you will be able to see your account info at the top of the screen, as well as items in your cart. 

 

If you are using a mobile device, you can access your account by clicking the three horizontal bars in the top right corner. This will open a new drop down menu with "LOGIN" as an option at the bottom of the screen.

Introducing USERWAY, the web accessibility widget

The Public is excited to introduce the implementation of USERWAY, a widget designed to offer additional options around website accessibility.


The USERWAY widget appears in the bottom right corner of the screen, and allows you to toggle different options to improve your web browsing experience:

  • Keyboard Nav - toggle enhanced keyboard navigation
  • Cursor - increase your cursor size
  • Contrast - invert screen color for higher contrast
  • Bigger Text - increase text sizes across the whole site
  • Play/Stop Animations - turn off/turn on moving or blinking elements
  • Highlight Links - Add a visual highlight to all clickable links 
  • Legible Fonts - Switch out website fonts for regular system fonts
  • Read Page - Narrate page elements on the site
  • Tool Tips - Display alt-text on visual elements
  • Page Structure - display a clickable outline of the page navigation and links

E-Ticketing

For your convenience, we now offer e-ticketing. E-ticketing can be added to your passbook on a mobile device, much like the boarding pass for an airline. You can also print it out at your convenience, and bring it to the theater like a regular paper ticket.

E-ticketing can be selected at the time of purchase. Once your transaction is completed, you will be presented with a link to immediately download your e-ticket to your mobile device, or use the same link to print it out. You will also receive an email with a direct link to your e-ticket. We recommend confirming that [email protected] is listed as a safe sender in your address book to ensure deliverability.

You can also access e-tickets for any future performances that you have booked by logging into your My Account section of the website.
