Health & Safety Policy Update

We are excited to welcome you back to The Delacorte Theater for our 60th Anniversary Season of Free Shakespeare in the Park. We ask that you read and understand the following when accessing tickets.

  • Effective April 19, 2022, The Public requires proof of a complete COVID-19 vaccination to enter The Delacorte and attend performances. This policy will continue until further notice.
  • Complete vaccination is fourteen days following a final dose of the Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Moderna, or Astra-Zeneca vaccine.
  • We will accept proof of vaccination via Excelsior Pass, the NYC Covid Safe Pass, a copy or photo of your CDC vaccination card, and/or a copy or photo of an official immunization record from outside the United States.
  • Face masks are encouraged, but not required while attending performances at The Delacorte.
  • Public Theater staff and artists are subject to a mandatory vaccination and booster policy.
  • All policies are subject to change at The Public’s sole discretion and without notice.
  • Those that do not abide by any health and safety protocols will be denied entry or removed from the facility.

Immerse yourself in the shadowy world of Blood/Love, an all NEW, all ORIGINAL, VAMPIRE ROCK POPERA!Meet us under the sultry red lights as we transform Joe's Pub into the Crimson Nightclub and tell the undead story of Valerie Bloodlove, played by Carey Sharpe, Satan's former queen, banished to roam the Earth for eternity. Her immortal exile has left her longing for a deeper purpose, despite the futile efforts from her draconian confidants, Cleo and Ezra, played by Courtney Reed (Moulin Rouge, Aladdin) and Jelani Remy (Back to the Future, Ain't Too Proud), to reignite her desires to thirst and lust. Down to her last drop of life, a chance encounter with a mortal superstar, Anzik, played by Constantine Maroulis (The Wedding Singer, Rock of Ages) revives the White-Horned Queen's will to carry on. However, when she learns Anzik has his own deal with the devil, Valerie is placed at the precipice of eternity, forced to choose between love and saving herself.Featuring an original score that tells the tale of love, friendship, heartbreak and betrayal, Blood/Love is your ticket to an eternal night life. Blood/Love is a 115 Production written by Carey Sharpe, Dru DeCaro, Erin Boheme, and Adam "Snake" Kobylarz. Blood/Love is directed by Daniel LeClaire with music direction by Nicholas Connell.
